Life happens. And before you know it, you've neglected your blog for over four months. Whoops...
Here's the quick recap of Mr. Parker and I.

Winter came early and stayed way too long if you ask me. After the third time of shoveling out the driveway, I was done with snow.

After the snow, came the sun. The Hawaiian sun that is. Our week in paradise was fantastic! It's down right beautiful there. My only complaint is that we weren't there long enough.
We're already planning another Hawaiian vacation in three years. Can not wait!

Do you remember Max? Max is our ridiculous puppy. He's my most favorite dog around. He spent his winter growing out his hair. He's most recently been chasing away racoons and cats from his yard and finally got a much needed haircut :) As JD would say, our dog is stupid cute.

We decided a couple of months ago that it's time to take the next step in our married life and get JD in school full time. This means that we will be moving come August. JD will finish up some prereqs at CGCC for the year then he'll move onto ASU business school. We are both excited for the change of scene but very much dreading the heat and valley life.

We've had an eventful past couple of weeks. On Mother's Day, I took JD into the ER. He had severe stomach pains for 24 hours. They knocked out blood work and an ultra sound and told us it was probably the gall bladder.
A couple of appointments later, we are anxiously awaiting a hydascan and consultation with a surgeon next week. We're hoping to have his gall bladder surgery in the next two weeks. It's been so hard to see my husband in so much pain. He can't eat a thing without having severe attacks.

Lastly, we celebrated our second anniversary yesterday. We had a nice dinner (minus JD's stomach attacks afterwards) and watched a movie at home. It was simple, but our real celebration comes next week. We are going to watch FUN. in concert. SO excited!! It will surely be a great time.

I can't believe how incredibly lucky I am to be married to this man forever! He's handsome, funny, kind, uber patient, hardworking, and for some reason he loves me. Happy anniversary my dear! I can't wait to see what this next year will bring.

  1. I'm glad (and a little jealous) you got to escape the snow and hide out in Hawaii! I feel SOOOO bad for JD. I had Gallbladder attacks for months before they finally took mine out. I had to eat little to NO fat until my surgery just to avoid the painful attacks. (I think they are worse than childbirth, and I had a 10lb baby!) Happy Anniversary Lovebirds! :)

  2. I can't believe it has already been two years. Crazy! I hope JD gets some relief soon. Being in pain is the worst!

  3. I think the most exciting thing about this whole post (for me, anyway) is that you are moving to the valley! aka/ps you will be a mere 2 hours from me! happy!!!

  4. Once upon a time your plans have already changed and we won't see each other in Mesa... So I disagree with Ashree , that is the worst part of the blog :(. Disappointing
